church service
we had a lovely church service this sunday... where Pastor's wife preached, had worship and thanksgiving, where a lot of them get up and share how good God has been to them... very encouraging and then we offered dinner.
it is awesome to see the church get hands on the project, and being soo passionate about this vision. they all cooked something at home and brought it over to share with the migrants. we are really blessed as a church to have such open hearted people, we praise God for that.
we praise God because in the midst of the economy and specially Mexico's situation, there are people still giving/sharing what they have. the people at the village got some nutritious food, that probably hadnt had in a while and we know that this is only because God speaks to hearts and he provides.
the kids love it when the church cooks for them, cos they say they eat weird food! because they have never eaten fried chicken, hot dogs, spaguetti bolognese... etc!!!
there is a lot more they still need to try.... dont you think? =)

Doctors in Village!
These are great news!
The government has compromised to send doctors and nurses to the Village every two weeks to check up anyone around the area. These are some pictures of the last visit!

Food + Prayer= happy migrants!
ok, so we've recieved an email from Hillarious Givers a food organization in San Diego.
they said they have food to give to the village!!!!!!!! foood!!!!! it is very exciting!
but very frustating. because we have no way to bring it accross. please help us pray for a truck. volunteers, cars to bring it over.
we need the food! there is a lot of need around the village. families have no jobs, no incomes, no food. it is very frustating.
Ensenada is a safe place to be. Not saying this to get you to come. I'm saying this because it is true. If you were here last year. It's still the same. well, some bussinesses have shutdown.
Honestly, If you feel in your heart to come, and you're stopped because of fear you're missing out.
please help us pray that some way or the other this food gets accross.

Dia Del NiÑo!!!
We celebrated Dia del nino (kid's day) this sunday at the village.
We thought it was only gonna be very small but around 400 people showed up! it was great!
we had jumping castles, volleyball, songs, Pinatas, cake, lots and lots of candy, etc...
the kids were loving it! they couldnt believe all of it was for them. the pinata situation was brutal. you cannot believe what those kids would do for candy. e.i. hey boy! stop bitting that girl! its just one candy! lol. 
while we were giving out the cake and jellow, we were saying happy dia del nino and God bless you. It was soooo awesome! sooo awesome to see their faces shinning and their pop out when they'd see the cake, jellow and sweets.
Beautiful. during prayer, I spot a kid who was repeating what the pastor said with such seriousness, it was so encouraging to see this kid praying so passionately to a God who he didnt know existed before. but Im sure he can see it. I asked him Jose, who loves you? and with no hessitation he said God. then I asked him, who else? with no hessitation he said, you.
I dont know if these kids get the love they deserve from their families. but I know that when I ask other kids around my area, they say God, then, mom, dad as second choice. whether because of lack of knowledge, culture or really lack of love, I pray they can see us and take us as examples of how to love and be loved.

I got to go to a new migrant site today, with this group from Canada, under the leadership of Randy and Sandy Huebert, our dear canadians missionaries, they have a heart for this site, and I had the privildge to go as a translator.
I had seen it, passed by it, I had heard about it, but had never gone.
I'm still in shock. this is a site 10 min from our Village of Hope, of about 50 people, and there is so much need! they are very secluded very few of them speak spanish so we used a translator.
I'm in contact with poverty every day, I'm used to seeing dirty kids, but it always shocks me, and I think it will never stop to shock me.
They live in terrible conditions, it makes me think the kids form our village are blessed! I dont know what stuck more in my head and heart whether the fact that I got to bathe one of the kids, and I got to see all of his scars, and injuries from walking barefeet, seeing bigs bellies due to either malnutritious or parasites or whether the fact that this people dont know who Jesus is, or doesnt seem to know very well. I dont know.
it breaks my heart to see such suffering.
I guess I really saw it when I bathe this boy, the fact that he was only pouring water on him and that was "showering", I started washing him and we didnt have shampoo, nor soap to clean him, I grabbed one of the cloths the that team thankfully had brought to make a bunny craft, and I started washing him, saw his feet full of blisters, full of cuts, and scars that seemed were caused by a nail in both feet. his eyes were, how can I explain them, so pure, but there was something else to, that when I started washing him he stood still. Once we were done, I asked where's your towel?, how foolish of me, he looked at me like what? so we waited there for a long time for his mom to come and get him clothes, I so wished I had him in my house with hot water, nice shampoo and soft towel to wrap him up. but I wasn't. His mom came with a dirty (but clean for them) pair of jeans, and a big t-shirt. no underwear, no socks, no shoes. and this is how they live and how they shower every day.
This people are hungry, specially now with the lack of jobs, they are starving. I know this goes to people nearer our village too. All of them need so much! if you think you're struggling, you dont know, you still have a computer to look at while reading this, probably a couch or a nice comfortable seat also. This people have a piece of plywood and two blankets as a bed for 5.
I know we all have different ways of suffering and I'm not minimizing yours, Im not trying to make you feel guilty for what you have either. Im just asking you to appreciate what you do have. Praise God for it and pray for those that dont have it.
Please pray for these kids. these moms, these dads, and these families who need to know that God is there and wants to help them!
Maybe He can use you and me for that. Think about it.
